BCE Inc., a Canadian communications company, has agreed to sell its portfolio 13 data center sites across Canada for $750 million.
BCE will sell the data centers portfolio to California-based data center and colocation provider Equinix in an all-cash transaction.
The deal will enable Equinix to boost its colocation footprint in Canada, adding 1.2 million gross square feet of data center space and 400,000 square feet of colocation space across 25 facilities in the 13 markets.
Equinix said in a statement that It expects to conclude the transaction in the second half of 2020.
